Conference - International Financing & Corporate Banking for French SMEs in China

On May 20, 2026, CCI FRANCE CHINE hosted a morning breakfast exchange session in Guangzhou, organized exclusively for French SMEs. The event was generously hosted by ICBC (Industrial and Commercial Bank of China) and featured Kate Lin, Head of ICBC Guangzhou 3rd Branch.
The session brought together French SME leaders navigating China's complex financial environment, including challenges such as managing cash flow, cross-border transfers, and supply chain finance. The dynamic discussion generated many questions from attendees, creating a productive dialogue with senior banking professionals.
The session focused on four key areas:
- Direct engagement with senior ICBC management: Participants shared their specific financial difficulties in a constructive, face-to-face setting
- Tailored corporate banking services: No one-size-fits-all answers; instead, the team discussed possibilities adapted to each unique business situation
- Actionable practices on a case-by-case basis: Real scenarios were walked through to understand how banking expertise can be applied to actual operations
- Building lasting banking relationships: The networking cocktail provided an informal setting to continue conversations with decision-makers and peers
The key takeaway: French SMEs can turn financial friction into productive dialogue and practical next steps by engaging directly with banking partners who understand their unique challenges.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Kate Lin, Head of ICBC Guangzhou 3rd Branch, and all participating SME leaders for their active engagement and valuable questions.
