Why is ESG essential in Retail ?

On May 9th, in collaboration with The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC) 香港總商會 in Guangdong, CCI FRANCE CHINE hosted a conference bringing together leaders from the retail industry. The event was a collaboration between Hong Kong and French companies in China around the crucial topic of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices.

The conference included a panel discussion with industry leaders including James Yang of Café de Coral, Jing Peng 彭晶 of Decathlon South China, Frederic Barbier of SGD Pharma Asia Pacific, and Jessica Huang of Taikoo Hui Guangzhou. Moderated by Kin Fung Wong of Kraemer, the panellists shared their respective companies' strategies for ESG implementation and exchanged advice for SMEs looking to embark on this transformative journey. They also shed light on diverse approaches to integrating ESG principles in a company at every stages of their supply chain. Attendees gained valuable perspectives on HR best practices as well as actionable strategies for nurturing an ESG-focused culture within their organisations.
