The CCI FRANCE CHINE is pleased to introduce the next Intellectual Property Working Group on:

Patent Protection in China Application of the 2020 Patent Law

The 2020 amendment of the Chinese Patent Law entered into force on June 1st, 2021. A series of new rules and practices have been established by the new law on various aspects: Components of your industrial designs can now be protected. How to benefit from this regime? Open license systems allow you to license your patents to anyone willing to pay royalties. How to proceed? The patent linkage regime allows patent owners and generic medicine companies to meet each other before product commercialization. How does the regime work? Patent terms can be longer than before. What formalities to follow? Punitive actions for patent infringement have been introduced. How are they applied by Chinese courts?
