Mental Health First Aid Training
On January 14th, CCI FRANCE CHINE Shanghai organized a Mental Health First Aid training, in partnership with AWB.
The training covered the main categories of mental health issues, including:
- core concepts related to mental health and Mental Health First Aid,
- depression and mood disorders,
- anxiety disorders,
- other mental health issues such as substance abuse or major mental illnesses.
Discussions focused on how these issues may appear in day-to-day work situations, with participants addressing behavioral changes, warning signs, emergency responses, and the challenge of balancing support with professional boundaries.
As noted by one participant, the session offered “a clear methodology to respond to unexpected mental health situations in the workplace. In the past, when employees displayed signs of anxiety or emotional distress, it was not always easy to know how to react. This training provided structured frameworks and practical tools, helping participants respond more appropriately, maintain professional boundaries, and understand when escalation or referral to professional support is necessary.”
Led by Jing Jia, certified psychological counselor and MHFA trainer, the session combined structured theoretical input with case-based discussions. Participants shared workplace-related situations and examined recommended response frameworks, including escalation paths and referral to professional support when needed.
