Eric TARCHOUNE : fondateur et Directeur Général du cabinet de conseil, Dragonfly Group, Eric vit et travaille en Asie depuis 18 ans (dont 17 ans en Chine) Avant de fonder Dragonfly Group en 2000, il a exercé différentes fonctions managériales en Chine pour des sociétés européennes dans les secteurs de l’industrie lourde (groupe finno-suédois Tamrock-Sandvik), légère (Arc International), du conseil en ressources humaines (cabinet britannique Nicholson International).

Son domaine de compétence comprend principalement le management du capital humain (recrutement, évaluation, coaching, développement du leadership et des talents) au sein d’entreprises opérant en Chine.Diplômé des Langues’ O, Eric Tarchoune s’intéresse au monde chinois depuis 1985. Il possède un Mastère en Ingénierie des Projets Internationaux et en Gestion des Ressources Humaines du Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers ainsi qu’un diplôme en Commerce International obtenu à l’Ecole Supérieure de Gestion.

Membre du Bureau National et Responsable de la Commission RH de la CCIFC, il intervient fréquemment auprès d’entreprises et d’instituts de formation en Chine et à l’étranger sur des problématiques relatives au développement des ressources humaines en Chine. Eric est par ailleurs coach intégré au MBA conjoint de L’Université de Hong Kong, de la London School of Economics, et de l’Université Columbia de New York.

Ses contributions au programme d’enseignement du management en Chine “50 lessons” sont disponibles sur http://www.50lessons.com/exclusive/tarchoune/. Il a également participé à l’ouvrage “Succeeding in China” publié en 2010 par la Harvard Publishing House.

MENG Mei: d’origine chinoise, diplômée de l’Université de Pékin, Meng Mei possède plus de quinze ans d’expérience professionnelle aussi bien dans la gestion d’entreprise au sein de multinationales (Interagra, Rhône-Poulenc, Aventis, Sodexho, Mercer HR Consulting) que comme consultante indépendante en gestion RH. Ces années sur le terrain lui ont permis de se spécialiser dans l’alignement du capital humain sur le développement stratégique de l’entreprise et de vivre des expériences dans le domaine du développement des organisations, du leadership et des talents ainsi que du management de la performance.

Son profil est caractérisé par sa double culture - chinoise et française, et marqué par son itinéraire professionnel (Chine, Paris, Hong Kong, Chine).

Depuis fin 2007, Meng Mei a fondé sa propre société Well Terre Limited - en tant que consultante indépendante en gestion des RH et coach au service des sociétés occidentales et chinoises. Elle collabore également avec des sociétés chinoises sur des projets de développement en Afrique

Transfer pricing - what's new in China?

presented by Mr. Sébastien GONNET (NERA Economic Consulting )

The workshop aims at providing an update of the transfer pricing environment in China including most recent information about tax and transfer pricing audits, transfer pricing documentation, review process by the tax authorities, as well as the current APAs cases. It will provide an overview of what to be expected on the transfer pricing side for the end 2010 and 2011, for French companies operating in China, as well as the key current and coming transfer pricing hot topics for CFOs and tax managers in China, among others: managing a cost plus system for a plant; justifying arm's length nature of transfer pricing services; successful sales and profits in China: how to repatriate the "intangibles-related profits" to the parent company?.

Coordinators:

GUO Min is a member of the Chinese Bar and the Institute of Certified Public Taxation Accountants of China. She holds an LL.M in law from Renmin University of China and a diploma in European studies from the University of Turku, Finland. After working in the Tax Department of one of the “Big Four” accountancy firms as a tax consultant from 2003 to 2005, she joined GLN’s Beijing office in February 2005. She specialises in PRC taxation and accounting and advises many companies in the field of foreign investment. She has developed specific expertise in analysing the fiscal aspects of mergers and acquisitions, cross-border transactions, company restructuring and foreign investment projects. She also specialises in customs law, foreign exchange control and corporate legal matters.

Sébastien GONNET is a Principal at NERA Economic Consulting. He specializes in transfer pricing and intellectual property. He advises multinational companies in France, Europe and China in the design, documentation and defense of transfer pricing systems (intra-group transfers of goods, services, intangible - brands/patents/know-how...), in a broad range of industries. Sébastien frequently publishes in transfer pricing and international tax reviews, and regularly is a speaker at conferences in Europe.
In China, he will be based in Beijing, responsible for the European transfer pricing projects in China (incl. Hong-Kong) and acting as a corporate liaison office for NERA Economic Consulting's other lines of services.
Sebastien is graduated from HEC and from Paris II University in international taxation.

"China’s Economic Situation: Status and Trends 2010"

Ten years from now, a look back on China's reforms will likely mark 2010. In light of the fundamentally changed global environment today, plus the growing strains on China's own domestic resources, China is steering the ship toward the next "long" decade of consumption but will face a number of overwhelming challenges on execution.

With a macro view on prospect for success some of the key initiatives will be presented by Christophe Weber from the World Economic Forum.

Ye Weiqiang, deputy editor of Caixin Media, will focus on the risks of China’s economy since the major risk do not come from outside but inside as for instance risks caused by possible policy failure.

Robert Wiest from the world leading reinsurance company Swiss Reinsurance Company Ltd will in his speech cover China's economic outlook as well as a prospective on the Chinese insurance market with respect to:

· 6th largest insurance market in the world
· Short term growth drivers
· Reasons for optimism
· An insurance related answer to rising risk exposure

Christophe Weber, World Economic Forum
Christophe Weber is the Director and Chief Representative of the World Economic Forum in China and oversees the Forum activities in China and the outreach and integration of Chinese stakeholders in the Forum's global, regional and industry platforms.
Before moving to Beijing, Christophe was responsible of Europe, Russia and Central Asia at the World Economic Forum and worked as a political adviser and legislative assistant at the Swiss Parliament focusing on public policy efficiency, monetary policy and foreign policy.
Christophe holds a Master Degree in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Geneva and holds a Bachelor degree in Economics and Communication Studies from UCLA

Ye Weiqiang, Caixin Media
Ye Weiqiang is the deputy editor of Caixin Media. He is in charge of the Opinion-Editorial Columns, reporting and analyzing macro economy. Prior to Caixin, he worked as the chief academic editor and the supervising editor of Academic Division of CAIJING Magazine between 2001 and 2009. He founded and led the Academic Division with a wide coverage from economic institution, macro economy & policy, to corporate governance. Some of his most important pieces include The Worries at the Central Bank, After the Peg of RMB and exclusive interviews with domestic and international policy makers.
He organized and presided over the quarterly CAIJING Round Table. He also supervised the official website of CAIJING and Finance Series, a monthly supplement of CAIJING.
Mr. Ye received his MA in economics from Peking University.

Robert Wiest, Swiss Re
Based in Beijing, Robert Wiest is Managing Director for Swiss Re China.
Robert started his career at Swiss Re in 1995 as an engineering underwriter for the Italian market. From 1998 to 2000 he serviced a number of European markets as engineering underwriting manager and headed special lines at Swiss Re Italia where he was a member of the local executive team. One of his major achievements as project manager was to successfully develop and launch SwiftRe.
In 2004 he was in charge of developing Swiss Re's P&C Business Group's Global Facultative System (GFS). In May 2005 he was appointed as Market Executive for Western & Southern Europe, and took on additional responsibility for the Middle East, Turkey and Pakistan from September 2006.
He relocated to Beijing, China to head up this important market in November 2008.
A graduate engineer from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH), he majored in semiconductor and chip design at the Technical University of Munich, Faculty of Electrical Engineering. Robert was born in 1963. He is married and has two children.

An event organized in partnership with the French Embassy in China and the French Young Professional Chamber in Beijing.

Bastille Day Ball 2010

An event organized in partnership with the French Embassy in China and the French Young Professional Chamber in Beijing.

The French community in Beijing, its Chinese partners and friends will be together to share a nice and cheerful evening in 798 Art Center (Dashanzi).

Different music bands will entertain this dancing evening party and a lucky draw with prestigious gifts will be organized

The guests will also enjoy a dining cocktail, wine testing, and a cheese and delicatessen buffet in a joyful atmosphere.

Entry only by invitation. The Bastille Day Ball is open to CCIFC’s members, students and French citizens who have a consular card.

Le 14 juillet est organisé en partenariat avec l’Ambassade de France en Chine et la Jeune Chambre Économique des Français de Pékin.

La communauté française de Pékin, ses partenaires et amis chinois se réuniront en ce jour de Fête nationale pour partager une soirée chaleureuse et détendue dans le 798 Art Center de Dashanzi.

Plusieurs groupes de musique rythmeront cette soirée dansante. Un tirage au sort durant lequel les invités pourront gagner des cadeaux prestigieux sera organisé.

Cocktail dînatoire, dégustation de vins français, buffets de charcuterie et de fromage seront au menu d’une soirée placée sous le signe de la bonne humeur et de la convivialité.

Entrée sur invitation uniquement. Soirée ouverte aux membres de la CCIFC, aux étudiants et aux français disposant d'une carte consulaire.

Invitations à retirer à partir du 5 juillet 2010 à la CCIFC Pékin ou au Consulat de France à Pékin sur présentation d'une carte de visite.

Are you trying to close a deal, get your budget approved or preparing a presentation for the Board? Regardless if you have presented one time or a hundred times, the message we are delivering can be lost in an instant if we misread our audience.

In Presentations: Exceeding Expectations, participants identify the characteristics of their audience, prepare presentations to meet audience expectations and get feedback on delivering presentations specific to the audience they are most likely going to be presenting to. This course will challenge experienced presenters to adapt their presentation style for different audiences.

COURSE OBJECTIVES :

- Identify traits of influential presenters and conduct an evaluation of your presentation style,
- Frame and improve your delivery style to accentuate your presentation strengths,
- Assess the audience and adapt presentation styles accordingly,
- Create presentation environments suitable for your audience,
- Create meaningful content that guides the audience to take action,
- Effectively deal with questions and objections.

I.Q. and technical skills are important but mainly as “threshold capabilities”. They are the entry level requirements for executive positions. Recent research clearly shows the “Emotional Intelligence” is the sine qua non of leadership. There is a high correlation between the emotional intelligence of a leader and the effectiveness and cohesiveness of his/her team. The core of change is rarely about strategy, structure or systems; it is always about changing the behaviors of people, by succeeding it, people may need to reveal their feelings.

How does Emotional Intelligence affect the constant changing in organizations nowadays? How do senior executives and managers understand and manage resistance to change? And how do they implement change in the organizational and human aspects? Professor Robert Weisz will focus on how to manage change in organizations, which shows the importance of having the right balance between an ability to manage down:

To have the skill to use communication, motivation and participation, to mobilize and lead a group of people in a certain direction and an ability to manage up;
To have the team building and political skills to build coalitions and supports to achieve a result.

He will also cover the necessity of managing the transition to make the change work and succeed.
