Conference Ecole Centrale Pekin, March 24th
The French Chamber of Commerce and Ecole Centrale Beijing are pleased to invite you to a Cocktail Seminar on the topic:
Recruiting engineers in China
Finding international profiles for Chinese and French engineers
A Seminar presented by
Jean Dorey, Director of Ecole Centrale Pékin
and
Christopher Cripps, Dean of International Affairs, Ecole Centrale Paris
Whether they are Chinese or foreign, companies in China today are in great need of qualified personnel. Highly trained engineers are particularly in demand. Today’s engineer must possess a multicultural profile, wide-ranging scientific and technical skills, and proficiency in foreign languages. In recent years, French engineering schools have made significant efforts to provide innovative solutions with the aim of satisfying these new needs of high-level, multicultural engineers. The Ecole Centrale Paris and the Ecole Centrale Beijing train western engineers who speak Chinese and Chinese engineers who speak both French and English. Totally bicultural with no linguistic barriers, these engineers are of infinite value to industry in China. The aim of this conference is to present the specificities these engineering students train in both Paris and Beijing. Participants will hear from experts from the Ecole Centrale Paris, the Ecole Centrale Beijing, Chinese partners of both schools, former students, and company representatives. Participants will have time to express their needs to enrich the discussion. Such discussion will help both Ecoles Centrales adapt their pedagogy with a view of the long term.
