Développement durable

 

Environment and sustainable development are now a priority for Chinese authorities. They have realized that the very fast industrialization, economic growth and urban development involve risks and pressure on the social and environmental situation of the country, and therefore threaten future Chinese growth perspectives as well.

This working group’s objective is to gather French companies, universities and institutions in order to share experiences, to think together about the meaning of “sustainability” in China nowadays and what the related business opportunities are. It is also meant to be a collective task force that defends the interests of French companies, which provide products and services in this field.

The working group activities include regular meetings, organization of meeting with Chinese officials from MEP or other ministry, debates and seminar, development of contacts with universities, research institutes, visit of Chinese or French companies’ laboratories.
This working group is not dedicated to one sector of activity. The considered topics are: Legislation survey, local companies’ strategies in terms of sustainable development, Sino-French collaboration projects…

China Sustainable Development challenge: An overview and examples of strategies and tools available for Chinese and French companies, July 1st 2009
This first Sustainable Development Working Group session was aimed at providing an overview of Sustainable Development in China and examples of strategies and solutions that French and Chinese companies can find to develop sustainable business. Green buildings in China : current state and perspectives, September 29th 2009

Aymeric Novel est un ingénieur français spécialisé dans l'éco-conception des bâtiments et plus précisément dans la partie efficacité énergétique. Il est titulaire d'un diplôme d'ingénieur en mécanique générale et éco-conception ainsi que d'un master européen consacré à l'intégration de l'efficacité énergétique dans les bâtiments. Il est également professionel accrédité LEED-AP Building Design and Construction.
Il est le représentant de la société TERAO en Chine depuis juillet 2008. TERAO est un cabinet d'ingénierie spécialistes en conception et certification des bâtiments verts, neufs, crée en 1993. Durant sa période en Chine, Aymeric a beaucoup travaillé avec l'AFD sur le projet pilote de mise en place de la réhabilitation énergétique à grande échelle des bâtiments publics de Wuhan ainsi que sur des programmes similaires en Thailande et en Afrique du Sud, mais également sur la réhabilitation thermique du centre franco-chinois de formation aux métiers de l'énergie à Beijing, le nouveau centre sportif olympique de Hangzhou, la mise en oeuvre de lignes de crédits dédiées à l'efficacité énergétique dans les logements au Vietnam et en Tunisie, et également sur des projets de certification LEED en France et en Chine.
Avant cela, Aymeric a travaillé au siège de TERAO France où il a participé aux projets de certification HQE, le label bâtiment vert français, principale activité du bureau de Paris. Avant de rentrer chez TERAO il était ingénieur R&D chez Halton Indoor Air, un entreprise spécialisée dans les produits de ventilation, chauffage et climatisation, en particulier sur le développement des poutres froides.

 

Fabien JOLY-de-BRESILLON is in charge of the development of Bureau Veritas services in China, with a specific focus on Energy and HSE Services.
While he moved to China in April 2009, his prior experience was in the United Kingdom, where he has set up and managed the Bureau Veritas Energy Services Business Unit from 2006, providing expertise to businesses and public organizations on how they could save energy and deal with a complex carbon regulatory environment.
He has managed projects in areas covering energy strategy and audits, technical feasibility studies, Green Building certification (BREEAM, LEED) and the development of the newly created Green Rating in Europe. Fabien has started his career with Accenture in Paris, France and has 11 years international experience in management and technical consulting.
He holds an Engineering degree from Ecole Polytechnique (1997).
