on the topic :

How to set up and implement large infrastructure projects in China
TOPIC :

Through discussions based on real experiences, we would like to draw the outline of this topic, with a cross sector approach, involving IT, Telecoms, but also energy, transportation and environment related projects. The memo attached gives further details.
The expected participants are professional of project management, in the infrastructure business, ready to also share their experience at this meeting.
The final aim is to help the community of the French companies in China be successful in this business.
This meeting has been initiated by the IT-telecom working group, coordinated by Alain Ruinet (EADS) and Sebastian Aubrey (SAP) and is supported by the French Trade Commission.

LE GROUPE DE TRAVAIL ITT :
Ce groupe de travail a pour objectif de créer un réseau entre les acteurs du monde IT Telecom en Chine (ingénieurs, managers, chercheurs, commerciaux, DSI, directeurs de société) pour favoriser l’intelligence économique, le partage d’expérience, la rencontre avec des fournisseurs et l’aide à l’implantation. Les réunions prennent la forme de table ronde sur des sujets généraux
ou bien de conférence sur des thèmes plus spécifiques mais d’actualité ou enfin de réunions « best practices ». Les thèmes abordés en 2008 ont notamment porté sur la problématique de recrutement et formation d’ingénieurs télécoms, les avantages du système d’exploitation Linux ainsi que la situation de la 3G en Chine.
