Cross-cultural Workshop: October 20th
Working across Cultures Focus : China and France
Tuesday October 20, 2009
Chinese managers employed in multinational companies, and foreign managers working in China, face recurring challenges: they include how to communicate efficiently, how to manage productively and how to transfer knowledge smoothly. Very often the underlying and unexplored causes of these difficulties are cultural.
This workshop will directly address these issues and help the participants develop their competence and learn how to be more effective in working across cultures.
It will highlight the three levels at which culture in a business environment comes into play: individual, collective and organizational, and will focus particularly on Franco-Chinese cultural gaps.
Throughout the workshop we share and develop best practices for dealing with cultural differences in the participants’ particular work environments. We identify strategies and tactics which address the business activities directly relevant and applicable to the participants’ individual needs.
