Shanghai a été le creuset de la société moderne en Chine. Elle le doit en grande partie à une série d'aventuriers occidentaux qui, au début du XIXème siècle, ont décidé de s'implanter sur les bords marécageux du Huangpu. La symbiose entre les occidentaux et les chinois de la région a fait naître sur ces rives la cité moderne, bouillante de dynamisme que nous connaissons aujourd'hui.
Plongée au cœur de ce siècle où fleurirent entreprises et commerces, ce voyage dans le temps racontera l’empreinte française sur celle qui fut le Paris de l’Orient et dévoilera ses faces cachées...

Antoine Hyafil is the current DELOITTE Professor of Finance & Energy at HEC Paris. For eight years he held the position of Dean of the Faculty He has been on the Visiting Faculty at the Sloan School, MIT and INSEAD in Singapore. He has taught Executives throughout the world in Brazil, Bahrein, Lebanon, Lithuania, India, Japan, Poland, Russia and the United States. He teaches both intermediate and advanced corporate finance courses, focusing upon topics such as value creation, sustainable growth, valuation methodologies, mergers and acquisitions, financial restructuring, project financing and financial policy. |

Florence Müller is a graduate of the Ecole du Louvre and the Institut d'Art et d'Archéologie, she was Director and curator of the Union Française des Arts du Costume from 1987 to 1993, and is now curator and author of a number of books on fashion including La mode au XXe Siècle in tandem with Yvonne Deslandres (Éditions Somogy), Baskets : une histoire de la chaussure de ville/de sport (Regard), Art et Mode au XXe Siècle (Éditions Assouline), Andam : la mode contemporaine (Éditions Steidl) and as part of the Mémoire de la mode collection, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac (Éditions Assouline). She has also curated a number of exhibitions in France and abroad. Florence Muller has also a blog about fashion, arts and the most exclusive events of the Parisian scene: www.fashion-eye.net. |

Gérard Laizé has been the executive director of Via, since 1994. He was marketing director in the sectors of industry and distribution, in France and internationally notably at Habitat. He is an expert in the development of new distribution concepts. |
