[Training] Electrical Safety and Risk Assessment

Course Objectives

In China, about eight thousands of death caused by electric shock every year. In year 2016, about 94, 000 electric fire accidents are recorded by Fire Department of Ministry of Public Security. 30.4% of fires accidents caused by electric. The major cause of electric fire including: short circuit, poor contact, electric equipment ageing, inferior quality of electrical equipment, deregulation and overload.

The objective of the course is to ensure the reduction of electrical risk of the daily work, and to strengthen the safe consciousness. All the participants should know the actions to be done in case of fire caused by electrical.

Course Outline

1. Basic knowledge of electrical

Identify the components of an electrical fixture

List the main electrical units of measurement

2. Electrical hazard

List risks associated with eletricity

Analyze electircal current hazards

3. Actions need to be done in case of electrical accident

List the procedures to be followed in the event

4. LOTO procedure

Identify the stages of a LV lockout in addition to associated protective equipment

5. Factory electrical safety standards

List machine eletrical safety requirement to ensure safety of personnel during operation

Facilitator

Mr. Navy LI

Graduated from Guizhou University, majoring in Electrical Engineering and Automation, Navy Li presently works for Apave China as senior electrical engineer & trainer. With 12 years’ experience in electrical safety management, electrical safety evaluation, CE evaluation, machinery risk assessment, electrical installation, third party inspection and electrical safety training based on EN/IEC/GB/NF standards. Navy is the certification holder of evaluation of conformity machine “CE” other than a lifting device and Train the trainer authorized by Apave Group in Paris, France.

Navy Li has provided technical service in China, South Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia and Myanmar. As an experienced trainer, Navy has full understanding of the current electrical and machine safety status in China and Asia pacific, focusing on the real safety and explaining the root of risk.
