[Training] Conflict is not a problem -- Let's handle it!

Course Objectives

Conflict is not necessarily negative. In fact, handled appropriately, conflict can lead to positive, dynamic personal and organizational growth. This workshop will introduce participants to the causes of conflict and styles of handling it to reduce negative impact and increase productivity. The goal is to help participants engage in productive communication to head off or handle conflict and find a pathway for problem-solving. 
Important note: This workshop takes a Western cultural perspective on conflict, and the communication style to identify and deal it with may differ significantly from traditional Chinese communication and cultural values.


Who should attend?

Anyone working directly with people wishing to facilitate positive results from difficult situations will benefit from this workshop.  The training is especially helpful to those who manage teams or employee groups.

Ms. Priscilla Lynne YOUNG

Priscilla Lynne YOUNG is senior lecturer at the Peking University HSBC Business School. presenting skills and workshops, she has served as a business English corporate trainer at Hanbridge Mandarin Language School in Shenzhen for several years. Priscilla’s training experience in the USA and China includes business and academic communication, intercultural communication, public speaking. Priscilla holds a master’s degree in communication studies with a focus on intercultural communication and a BA in English.
Priscilla’s extensive professional life has spanned the corporate, small business, government and nonprofit sectors where she has been the executive director of an NGO; fundraising manager for a large hospital system; radio talk show host and producer; speech writer; and editor and publications
manager, to name only a few.
Priscilla is a member of the international association for Intercultural Communication Studies.
