Human Resources Manager Working Group: How to manage “90 generation”?

Dear members, Dear friends,

The French chamber of commerce and Industry in Guangzhou invites you to participate in the HR working group whose topic is " How to manage 90 generation?”

In last section "How to recruit 90 generation?”, the experts from divers sectors like High-tech, Education, law & consulting and so on discussed together about the particularities of the 90 generation's social life, professional behavior, and ideological values; the difficulties and methods in recruitment of 90 generation's. In the last part, we found that how to manage and retain the staff is as difficult as the recruitment process.

As a leader in the French sporting retail industry, Decathlon's company culture is dynamic and unique for its passion in sports. The common point of their staff is sportive. They link every event and every ceremony to sport. At the same time, they encourage employees to make decisions independently and take responsibility. In the last part, we mentioned that the career objective of the 70 and 80 generations was more clearly defined and more focused on career planning, learning and development space. In contrast, 90 generation shows higher requirements to meet their self-worth and fulfill their interests. Then, what are the unique ways in which Decathlon manages the 90 generation? How do they integrate the 90 generation into the corporate culture? And how other companies can be inspired by their methodology?

This time, the French chamber of commerce and industry in China invites Ms. Sharon YU, the HR Manager of Guangzhou Decathlon Production Group, to share her experience in the second part of HR working Group ofHow to manage the 90 generation.
