HEADLINES: 

This session will focus on acoustic comfort, open to non-expert who wants to understand better the advantage of considering acoustic when fitting out a space (office, retail, restaurant, hotel etc…). The presentation will be divided in several parts:

- What is acoustic comfort?

- Perception of noise in China

- The 5 typical acoustic issues

- Case study: starbucks coffee shops

Jean-Philippe Delhom

Jean-Philippe Delhom is an acoustic engineer with more than 25 years of experience graduated from the “Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers” in France. He is the President and founder of the company "Delhom Acoustique” (1995), a global and independent acoustic consultancy specialized on solving noise and vibration issues.
After consolidating Delhom Acoustique’s position as an acoustic expert French leader, with projects in Europe, Africa and America, Jean-Philippe Delhom is now based in Shanghai, where since 2014 has been managing the development of its subsidiary "Shanghai Delhom Acoustics Science and Technology Consulting Co., Ltd." (上 海德洛 声学 科技 有限公司).

Ann Mu has a bachelor degree of Architecture in Auckland University, New Zealand. She has practiced with various leading international architecture firms, such as MADA s.p.a.m., Aedas and Neri&Hu. Within her previous experience, Ann developed her specialty in retail building and interior design.
Now Ann joined Starbucks two years ago as a store design manager.

Ms. Margaux LHERMITTE

Margaux was born in Paris (France). She studied interior design in London, at Chelsea Art & Design College (2000),then at Kingston University (2001/2004) and in Finland at Lahti Polytechnic (2002). 
After a work placement in Paris at Jean Nouvel Design (2001) and at Western Design (2004), she was offered the challenge to set up a design studio in Shanghai in 2005.
Margaux is now a senior creative director, co-founder of NE-ON design studio. She has delivered more than 200 projects including hotels, restaurants, retail, etc...


Ms. Ellen d’ANTERROCHES
MD / co-founder
NE-ON architecture & design

Ellen is a Shanghainese, the descendant of a oversea Chinese literary family.
Ellen has various experiences in large international groups, worked in Paris, Shanghai, Beijing and Wuhan.
Experience covering: China chef representative of American furniture dealer(4yrs) / PM for Motorola N.E.Asia Office set up (4yrs) / Owner of agency for retail products(4yrs) / China sales manager(8yrs).
Few years ago, she entered the design world as a multiple role of business developer/contract expert/office manager for a French design studio.
With a good understanding of the market, clients’ expectations and designers’ frequent issues, she has decided to set up a new design model- a creative platform to serve both clients and architects/designers/artists.
